Five Views of 2 WTC is a mobile first interactive project that aims to give readers an understanding of how the tower will complete the downtown New York City skyline.

From the very start, this project was envisioned as a mobile first experience. With a swipe, we move from neighborhood to neighborhood around Manhattan, experiencing the shape shifting form from a variety of angles. Here is the storyboard.

A rotation of the mobile device creates a unique interaction, zooming between telephoto, and wide-angle views from each location.

This interactive was produced as part of a new Times initiative that embraces conferences as part of the news report.

It was published early so that attendees of the Cities for Tomorrow conference could experience the project during an interview with 2WTC architect Bjarke Ingels of BIG, and made available to the public the following day.

The project was also covered by Brooklyn architecture blog, Brownstoner.
